WFA announces achievement award incentives

Western Fairs Association is proud to present the 46th Annual Achievement Awards Program. This year’s competition handbook has several changes, please review it carefully. We have added several new divisions; Innovative Use of Technology, Community Relevance, Guerilla Marketing Tactics and much more. Our Featured Program this year focuses on Not-for-Profit 501(3)(C) organizations, we look forward to all the innovative ideas the fair industry has produced.

The purpose of the Achievement Awards is mostly to celebrate excellence in the industry, but it also gives everyone a chance to learn from each other. The fair industry is unique in that stealing good ideas is encouraged. In our efforts to increase entries, thereby increasing the potential to learn, we are introducing NEW entry fee incentives. Small Fairs with less than 50,000 in annual attendance will pay NO entry fees. All other fairs will receive five FREE fee waivers – first five entries are FREE. All entries can be viewed at the Annual Convention and Tradeshow in Reno, January 25-28, 2009.

Western Fairs Association would like to thank Alameda County Agricultural Fair for hosting the entry and judging process of the Achievement Awards Program. If you have any questions about the program please contact Monica Rodriquez at (925) 426.7668 or monica@alamedacountyfair.com
